And Speaking of Cellphones!

This is an exciting time for Robbie!

If you cellphone users are interested...check out this link:

http://wrecktangles.wirenode.mobi

You will find this blog on your cellphone! I am very excited about this development. I believe that this is part of the future, really. I am, of course, still 110% behind the pursuit of "traditional" painting, sculpting, etc.

And by traditional, I mean using paint, brushes, wood, etc....

At the same time, I had an e-piphany a few years ago. Basically I realized that in the future, if I am remembered as an artist, or known about as an artist (and by I, that means, probably most artists) it will be in pictures. And the way the world is heading, there is a fairly good chance that it will be digital, and perhaps online.

I may be wrong - don't get me wrong! haha

But I believe that a good online presence is the way for me to go. And of course I will not stop making art in the material world (as fake as it is! hahahaha).

So go check out Wrecktangles on the mobi. It looks good on that little screen. I am working to get my art website on the mobi, too. I want all my websites on the mobi.

A New Cell

Well, friends,

I have been a cellular resister. I am not entirely sure what that's about. Yes I am sure what that's about. I have lived the life of an art-hermit mostly, but now it's about time I become a cell phone owner, and join the world, so to speak. So I am the owner of a PDA. It's probably more than I need, but I wanted a phone on which I could show you my art website.

Sometimes people ask what I "do" as an artist. Try describing "bas-relief" art. It is low-relief painted sculpture. Are you getting that?

Even in the photos posted here on Wrecktangles, the 3D elements of my artworks are not always easily visualized by everyone. (I am sure, though, that anyone caught reading this post is able to visualize the dimensional qualities!)

I haven't been paying too much attention on some levels. So I'm not too sure if people give out their cell numbers on their blogs. I doubt if it's a common practice for obvious reasons. My main reasons for acquiring this PDA had to do with internet and email capabilities, at first, but now I am finding that phone and texting are very cool features. Perhaps not for the entire blogosphere to have access to, though.

I Fell into a Bermuda Wrecktangle!

I'm back after a rather long period of self-imposed blogging exile. Actually, I was sort of busy with "internal" problems, but as the Romulans said (on a Star Trek so many years ago) now I'm back. HAHAHA

I'm really not into Star Trek all that much. I used to watch Next Generation quite often, but I wouldn't say I was a huge fan. Just something I watched when Gilligan's Island wasn't on.

But I didn't want to just let Wrecktangles wither on the e-vine. I have put some work into it, and I am going to continue on in my tiny corner of the blogosphere.
